Starship Troopers: Invasion “Mobile Infantry”

Today Spectre Media got us a nice deal. Based on the 1997 movie Starship Troopers, comes the game.

Starship Troopers: Invasion “Mobile Infantry” can be downloaded for FREE right now!

The movie is one of those “it’s so bad, it’s awesome” movies, with lots of goo, insects, shooting, severed limbs, and Denise Richards. Yup, I’ve just mixed “goo”, “severed limbs”, and “Denise Richards” in the same sentence.

The game follows the story of the movie. It’s the war between alien insects and humans. You will be most of the time be playing on a “runner” type game, and from time to time you’ll have to stop and smell the roses deliver pure destruction onto the bugs.

As you progress, you’ll be given the opportunity to improve your character, buying power ups, ammo, armor, and whatever items you can find on the store.

I wouldn’t give this game 5 stars, but maybe it’s one of those games “it’s so bad, it’s awesome”.

For the time being, give it a try, it’s Universal and FREE right now!

Six-Guns

First of all, let’s set the mood:

That’s right, we’re talking cowboys now.

Six-Guns by Gameloft is an amazing “I-can’t-believe-it’s-free” game.

Gameloft did it this time. In a mega huge world of cowboys, thieves, snakes and monsters (yup, monsters too), you will be allowed to make a name for yourself shooting, racing, foraging herbs, and completing many other missions.

In this game, you are your own boss. You may choose to do missions, or just explore the world, find treasure chests, collect money and buy new shiny stuff.

Of course, due to the nature of the game, most times you’ll be asked to shoot and be shot at. Those were the days alright.

The user interface is simple enough, but there is room for improvement. The finger you use to aim is the same you must use to shoot, and that doesn’t make things any easier. But again, totally manageable. If Clint Eastwood was capable of it, so are you. You just need to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk? (it was stronger than me, even tho this quote isn’t from a western movie).

The horse races are awesome and the graphics of the game are astonishing.

For each mission you complete, you get money that can be used to buy weapons, clothing, upgrades, horses, and monster specific stuff.

This is really a game that is too good to be free, but I guess that’s why they call it freemium. With a little bit of real money, you can buy the best weapons and upgrades, so I guess they still get their income (maybe more than if the game was paid and all weapons free).

Six-Guns is free and universal (we do love universal games, don’t we?).

Get it, install it, love it, and thank me later.

Check the video below if you’re having second thoughts.

Zombie Gunship

If one day the zombies rise, I’d rather be on an airplane. If you give me a long-range gun, even better. Now, throw me on a gunship and you’ll make little AppFreaky a happy lemming.

Zombie Gunship by Limbic Software does just that.

You’re flying with big guns. Below, hordes of mindless-glazed-eye-starving-for-brains zombies try to get to a bunker with humans inside.

What? Not on your watch, right?

Deliver some hell and start saying everyone to call you “Death From Above” or some other cool name.

From the clouds, start shelling those dead people until they’re… hum.. deader? Well, until they’re dust.

Collect cash from kills and upgrade your weapons, increasing the mayhem factor.

Whatever you do, just don’t let them get to the bunker, or your friends will be zombie snack.

Zombie Gunship is universal and currently free for a limited time.

The Terminator™

Read this review if you want to live!

Sorry, I just had to say it.

The Terminator, by Big Head Games Ltd, has just gone free on the AppStore.

The game is pretty much a standard dual control shoot’em up, based on the classic movies of the same name, in which the humans are conquered by the machines.

There are two main modes of play: Story or Quick Endless Mode. The names are self-explanatory.

As usual in this kind of game, you will have lots of weapons at your disposal, and even more enemies to use them on.

As it’s not my favorite kind of game, I played it for a while and stopped after an hour or so. But I can see how this game would be appealing to who appreciates this kind of games. So, if you like those, I’d suggest you install it.

While you’re killing machines, you can also rescue fellow humans.

You are Kyle Reese, and playing this game will lead you right to the beginning of the first movie, so you could play it to see how it all really started before a naked Arnold appeared before you in an energy bubble of some sorts.

As I said before, the game goes for the lower price you can find, the zero dot zero amount. Grab it while it’s free.
